Delivery Packaging

Your order is carefully prepared and packaged the day before your requested delivery date and sent by overnight courier. It is delivered to you well within 24 hours of preparation. It is perfectly refrigerated (temperature of meat less than 4°C) when you receive it and will remain refrigerated for another 12 hours provided the box is not opened .

When you open your cool box, it is recommended that you should refrigirate or freeze the meat immediately. The different cuts of meat are carefully wrapped in hermetically sealed packets. These packets are individually labelled and are ideal for refrigeration or freezing. Some ham, bacon or marinated products may be vacuum packed due to suitability. Again this packaging is ideal for refrigeration or freezing.

After the meats are individually packaged your order is placed in Sulmeats strong, re-usable cool box. It is securely wrapped in specialist ice packs and bubble wrap. Sulmeat's revolutionary polystyrene cool box prevents warming and protects your goods from knocks and bumps. Independent tests have proven that our unique travel packs keep your order perfectly chilled during transit. The Sulmeat box is specifically designed to keep your order as cold as possible. We take pride in the presentation of our meat. Our strong and clean polystyrene boxes ensure that your meat arrives to you in exactly the same condition as the meat that left our premises the night before.

The Sulmeat Polystyrene box – Afterwards

The polystyrene box can be either recycled or re-used. Your local authority will provide facilities for recycling.

The Sulmeat boxes can be used as follows:

•  Our boxes are environmentally friendly and can be ground up to use as a soil conditioner to improve drainage and aeration.

•  Use as a cool box for picnics, or for chilling wine or beer at a party.

•  Punch holes in the bottom and use as plant pots or seedling trays.

•  Ask your local Primary School if they would like to use them for arts and crafts.

•  Bubble wrap can also be used as insulation or frost protection for your plants in winter.

Just to recap

Your order is perfectly chilled when it is delivered to you. It will remain refrigerated for at least another 12 hours. When you open your Sulmeat box please refrigerate or freeze the meats immediately. The meats are already ideally packaged for refrigeration or freezing. If refrigerating please use within 3 to 4 days.
